Below is a short list of other parts of Nashville that we visited or enjoyed that I failed to give much attention to in previous posts. Belmont University, with its neoclassical architecture style, was the location of two presidential debates (2008 & 2020). Walking down Music Row past all of the recording studios was neat and cool to imagine famous singers recording their hits in some of the small, unremarkable studios.
Lastly, I want to call out the Vanderbilt Medical Care system as the best I’ve witnessed in the country. We were able to see specialists and physicians on relatively short notice and never had to wait very long to see the doctors during the appointment. VMC also provides a very sophisticated app that integrates the data from all medical areas into one platform so you can easily pull up your records. The app also allows you to text your doctor directly with questions or updates on your health status, and even better, the doctors actually respond in a timely manner. Other functions of the app include scheduling appointments, prescription status, prescription renewal, bill pay, and more.
