Our day in Marquette was splendid and the Lake Superior area was as beautiful as everyone says it is. We started off the day walking all the way out to the Presque Isle Breakwater Lighthouse which required us to climb over a quarter mile of giant boulders that made up the breakwater. We then headed over to Black Rocks which is a popular cliff jumping spot in the summer. We didn’t jump in but we did brave the 38 degree water and wade in. Afterwards, we visited a couple of parks and roadside beaches before calling it a day.
