Our two days in Detroit were pleasant and eventful. On Saturday, we attended a Detroit Tigers baseball game, after which we walked around downtown and slowly meandered toward the Detroit River where we gazed across the border at the Canadian Caesars Palace in Windsor. Right on the shore of the Detroit River is the GM Corporate headquarters, a complex of very modern and advanced skyscrapers, that we entered and roamed around the lobby. In the lobby were a number of GM vehicles on display ranging from classic, concept, and futuristic models. The next day, we drove up to Port Huron where we jumped in Lake Huron making it the third of the five Great Lakes we took a dip in. We also recommend getting a slice at Buddy’s Pizza.
