Cincinnati

Around town and Taft

Our trip to Cincinnati was a short one. We only spent the day there but we hit up almost all of the suggested sites and events. We went through a mix of good and bad neighborhoods, but overall, Cincy seemed like a fun city and we would definitely return. We also took the opportunity to visit William Howard Taft’s childhood home and learn a bit about his life and presidency.

Cincinnati Reds Game

Finding ourselves in another baseball town, we just had to attend a Reds game to catch a glimpse of the aging Joey Votto and experience Great American Ballpark. From the upper deck, we had a decent view of the Ohio River, and in the outfield bleachers we a great view of the Great American building towering over the stadium.

Jungle Jim’s International Market

A very unique destination that isn’t on any Cincinnati travel guide is Jungle Jim’s International Market. This market is so gigantic that it contains a full market’s worth of good from every part of the world. It is incredible how large store is and how diverse the goods sold are; I got lost a couple times trying to find my way around and I usually pride myself on my geographical and spatial skills.
