The Canadian Open

We were fortunate to be in Montreal while the Canadian Open (tennis) was being played. Now billed as the National Bank Open, it ran for a week in early August and attracts the top tennis players in the world. Wanting to make sure we saw as many of the top players as we could, we attended the second day of the tournament and we were not disappointed at all with the experience and the players we got to see up close. We were extremely lucky to catch Carlos Alcaraz, the eventual 2022 US Open Champion, playing a practice match against Quebec native Felix Auger Aliassime, and with the way the practice courts are set up, we were able to get right next to both players. Carlos even helped us out and took a selfie with Cynthia with Cynthia’s phone!
