Only 30 minutes away, Cynthia and I visited Providence to get a glimpse of life in the capital city of Rhode Island. Our first stop was at the RI State House which we self-toured. At the entrance, there is a cannon on display from the Civil War that has a cannon ball stuck in it. The State House library holds records from the mid-1700s and also has a collection of moon rocks brought back from one of the Apollo missions.
We later rode our bikes along the Providence River and then up and down the streets of downtown. We stopped to eat at Dune Brothers Seafood for dinner where we had amazing fish and chips and a fish sandwich.
