Annapolis

December 11, 2022

After a quick stop in Dover, we were determined to knock off another state capitol on our way to DC and Annapolis was right there for the taking. While the Maryland State House was under going renovations to the facade, the interior was open to the public and was set up for self-guided tours. We were able to mosey through a number of rooms with historical significance including the House and Senate chambers, but more famously, we were able to view and walk through the hall where George Washington announced his resignation from the Continental Army on December 23, 1783.

After our enlightening tour, we ventured into the lively surroundings near the State House. The brick-laden streets were adorned with charming stores, beckoning us to explore their offerings. With a sense of adventure, we wandered in and out of the delightful shops, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of the bustling area.
