We took a slight detour during our journey to the charming city of Dover, Delaware to check out the land of Biden and any sites of historical significance. We couldn’t resist the opportunity to visit the State Capitol grounds of Delaware, often referred to as the “First State.” As we strolled around the majestic capitol building, we encountered several plaques commemorating the state’s vital role in the ratification of the United States Constitution. With a number of shops closed due to it being Sunday, we decided to get back on the road and continue toward Annapolis and Washington DC.
