Ingredients
Crust
- 1½ cups flour*
- ½ cup oil
- 2 tbsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp milk
Pie
- 1 stick margarine (or butter)
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 tbsp corn starch
- 2 tsp vanilla
- Cinnamon sugar
Instructions
Crust
- Mix ingredients together and form into a ball.
- Press into a 9-inch pie pan. Do not prick.
- Bake at 400° until golden brown.
Pie
- In a sauce pan, heat the margarine and the milk until the margarine is melted.
- Mix the sugar and corn starch together and then add to the milk & margarine and bring to a medium heat. Stir until it is thick and creamy. Stir in the vanilla
- Pour into the baked pie shell (crust) and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Bake at 375° for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and allow it to come to room temperature before refrigerating for at least an hour to set.
*If not using self-rising flour, for every 1 cup of all-purpose flour, add 1½ tsp of baking powder and ¼ tsp fine salt
